Rugby Expo is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Rugby Football League (RFL) and Super League for 2018, that will see the event welcome its biggest ever attendance from across both codes of the sport.
As part of the agreement, the RFL will host a meeting for senior commercial and marketing representatives from the organisation and all 12 Super League clubs at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday 17 April, before attending Rugby Expo’s evening networking event and the main conference and exhibition on Wednesday 18 April.
The sport will also be well represented in the event’s conference programme, where top club CEOs from league and union will take part in a no-hold-barred discussion about the topical playing, commercial and administrative issues affecting both codes.
The new partnership will also seek to boost attendance from community rugby league clubs, with Rugby Expo utilising the networks and comms channels of the RFL and Super League to promote the grass roots-focused interactive content, taking place during the afternoon and evening of the 2018 event.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Mark Foster, general manager for Super League, said: “Rugby Expo provides us with a great platform from which to promote rugby league and engage with our stakeholders across all levels of our sport. It will not only bring together our clubs, but also gives us the opportunity to discuss key areas that face both codes, and to learn from and share ideas with union to the benefit of both groups.”
Jonathan Wilson, event director for Rugby Expo, said: “We’re really excited to confirm our new partnership with the RFL and Super League – the event has always attracted representatives from both codes but formalising our relationship with the RFL will expand our reach into the sport even further as we look to grow the event in 2018, and no doubt provide interesting debate and discussion between league and union.”
