The UK’s leading rugby exhibition, Rugby Expo, has today announced Pitchero as its Official Grassroots Partner.
Rugby Expo will host the largest gathering of decision makers in club rugby at the Ricoh Arena on Wednesday the 18th April.
Pitchero, the largest network of rugby club websites in the UK and Ireland, will be showcasing its latest technology aimed at bringing everyone involved in rugby closer together, from governing bodies to grassroots players, parents and volunteers.
Pitchero, which powers over 1,000 rugby clubs in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland aims to use technology to unite the people playing the game with the people running the game. Its latest mobile apps, the Club App and the Manager App, will be debuted at Rugby Expo.
The Club App is for players, parents and supporters and is ideal for team chat, selection confirmation, fixtures and results, and watching the latest match highlights. The Manager App is for coaches and team managers to aid team management, organising fixtures, as well as recording live stats, capturing video and updating social media. Pitchero staff will be on hand all day offering demonstrations and advice for attendees.
The Apps follow the recent launch of Pitchero Together, a platform aimed at helping Governing Bodies increase grassroots participation in their sport, generate more revenue through central membership, sponsorship and advertising, capture data, maximise engagement and communicate with participants, whilst helping clubs with their own revenue generation and administration.
Rugby Expo 2018 is expected to attract the biggest ever attendance of delegates from the professional game and community club representatives to discuss and debate the issues at the heart of club rugby.
The one-day event will combine a packed exhibition floor showcasing the latest products and services, a hard-hitting conference programme featuring interactive coaching sessions plus 12+ hours of networking and new business opportunities for anyone involved in the sport.
Pitchero CEO, Mark Fletcher, commented: “Pitchero is looking forward to Rugby Expo. It has a great reputation as the number one conference for rugby union and rugby league in the UK. It’s a great day out for all club officials from every standard of the game.”
Event Director Jonathan Wilson said: “Pitchero have been long-standing supporters of Rugby Expo so it’s great to be able to extend our partnership with Mark and the team for 2018.
“We’ve made a number of changes to this year’s Rugby Expo for grass roots clubs including more interactive, coaching-led content and running the event into the evening to support those attending from the community game, and we look forward to working with Pitchero and engaging with the many clubs in their network.”
