SNAP confirmed as the official sponsorship partner of Rugby Expo 2018

The UK’s leading rugby exhibition, Rugby Expo, has today announced SNAP Sponsorship as its Official Sponsorship Partner.

Rugby Expo will host the largest gathering of decision makers in club rugby at the Ricoh Arena on Wednesday 18th April, where SNAP will be showcasing their unique sponsorship portal.

SNAP Sponsorship aims is to help rugby clubs identify and nurture long-term partnerships with sponsors using advanced web-tools to make life easier for those seeking and running partnerships.

The inspiration for the model came while SNAP’s CEO, Mark Covington, was working on the funding and development of a new clubhouse at his own childhood rugby club. The club succeeded in raising £700,000 and built a new £1.2m clubhouse. Mark realised that many elements of the fundraise and sponsorship search could be automated in the ‘matchmaker economy’ and set to work building SNAP.

Development of the platform, in collaboration with both clubs and sponsors, has resulted in a sponsorship portal that enables brands to reach larger, more engaged, audiences. While providing clubs best practice methodology and tools to secure, deliver and maximise retained sponsorship.

The SNAP staff will be on hand at the Rugby Expo offering demonstrations and advice for all attendees.

Rugby clubs can use the website to build an online portfolio of their sponsorship opportunities and promote these to a large audience of brands, businesses and donors.

The heavy lifting of negotiation, securing and managing sponsorship all takes place within the system. Once a sponsorship is agreed, financial reports can be generated to allow for complete visibility on a club’s sponsorship activity!

SNAP CEO, Mark Covington, commented:

“SNAP are delighted to be a headline sponsor. The event has a great reputation as the number one conference for rugby in the UK.  We aim to help as many clubs as we can and this a perfect place to meet them.

SNAP was born when my local rugby club experienced, first hand, the limitations of sponsorship in a largely volunteer led environment. Our goal is to become the commercial cornerstone for clubs who need help and appreciate the value of a professional approach.

To this end we urge clubs to claim your free profile on SNAPs platform and join us on the road to financial sustainability.”

#TeamSNAP will be on hand at the Rugby Expo offering demonstrations and advice for all attendees.
